I was thinking yesterday

Thoughts that went asunder

My hidden id came into play

That always makes me wonder

I caught myself just in time

And put my dreams aside

Scenes that made me whine

This I could not abide

Pulled my boots up by the strap

Dusted off my sleeve

Never once did I look back

I was so relieved

This is how I must survive

And keep an even keel

If the doubting thoughts arrive

That's the way I feel

.

Going once and going twice

My deeds are on the run

This my plan will suffice

It's time to have some fun

Up and up I'm on the rise

Doing what I must

Looking back it's no surprise

In myself I trust
