Sunshine in my windowpane
Oh see how it shimmers
Brightens up the darkest sky
When the days are dimmer
Although the gray clouds
Are swiftly drifting by
It doesn't seem to bother me
When puffy white clouds cry

Sunshine sparkles in my eyes
Sets my heart a twitter
Dreams and schemes
In my mind how they flitter
Beams of color everywhere
Streaks of opal green
Brightly dancing rainbows
Form upon the scene

Sunshine on the water
Reflections so bold
Captures the ripples
With pure bands of gold
Lilly's in the pale blue pond
Floating pads of green
Sweet perfume is everywhere
Heavy in the morning air
Peaceful and serene

Sunshine is the breath of life
In the soul it stays
Washes away the strife
Happy days in every way
Count your blessings
Hold on to them tight
Never let them stray
Thank God for sunny days
