Never saw the moon so bright

Looking up into the night

Peaks and valley's in a pattern

Hanging like a Japanese lantern

Blue and shining just to please

Is it really made of cheese

Craters scattered all around

Deaf and mute not a sound

What was once a living thing

Silent now its beauty brings

Lovers sit and gaze with wonder

Fills hearts with passions hunger

Brightly glowing never dimmer

Moonstruck eyes how they glimmer

Touch the soul deep and true

Sending out the lovers cue

Without this silver glowing orb

Night is dark no light absorbed

Beams of splendor into the void

Everlasting not to be annoyed

Daytime comes and light comes soon

Sunrise in the morn it looms

Moonlit scene now is doomed

I saw the man in the Moon
