But never had the time

Looking in the mirror

Days away they fly

Nothing left to do

But cry cry cry

Thought I had it made

Thinking I was smug

Life with its poison

Take another slug

.

Alley ways dead end

Just around the bend

Days turn into years

Searching for a friend

.

Given another chance

What would I have done

Looking back in retrospect

When it had all begun

.

Life with its sorrows

Worries and the woes

Nothing can be perfect

That's just the way life goes
