  Reminders of life's bitter strife

  Cutting deep like the knife

Piercing daggers to the heart

Fleeting moments as we part

  Memories no more to last

  Fading deep into the past

Hands to hold the portal swings

Sparkle stars and things take wing

  Winding pathway to the light

  Narrows drifting out of sight

Voices calming to the soul

Once was half and now are whole

  Numbers counted truth is shown

  Journeys end at last I'm home

Loving arms that comfort me

Lasting through eternity

  Faith and love divine

  God and soul entwined
